As with the original version, the HL18R-T offers a spotlight and floodlight which can be operated independently via the double switch interface on the top of the light.
The Fenix HL18R-T headlamp has a maximum output of 500 lumens from the Cree XP-G3 S3 neutral white and Everlight 2835 white LEDs. The light can be powered by the included 1300mAh li-polymer battery pack which is rechargeable via micro USB. Alternatively, the head torch can use 3 x AAA batteries (alkaline or NiMH) but please note that charging is prohibited when using these cells. Waterproof to IP66 and resistant to impacts up to 1 meter.

Operation
- Press and hold the floodlight switch for 0.5 seconds to enter floodlight mode, then single click the same switch to cycle through the modes.
- Press and hold the spotlight switch for 0.5 seconds to enter spotlight mode, then single click the same switch to cycle through the modes.
