The Tara Kinder Memorial 10K 2023

It’s flat. It’s fast. It’s friendly. It’s old school 10K running at its best (although it does have chip-timing!). The Tara Kinder Memorial 10K is a non-profit making event, from which all proceeds go to local charities.

Where? Elvaston Castle Country Park.

When? 7.30pm on Friday 14th July 2023

How much? £16 for affiliated club runners, £18 unattached.

What’s the course like? Flat, traffic-free route, consisting of three laps of the perimater path of the park.

How do I enter? Online entries are open now! Click here to enter.

Where do I park? The race car park is Elvaston Castle’s main car park, just off the Borrowash Road  B5010, Postcode DE72 3EN. For more accuracy; use the What Three Words Location of: ///spillage.driveway.barrel.  Parking charges will apply.

When do I get my race number? Race numbers and timing chips will only be available for collection from 6pm on race day, from Race HQ. Please note that it is essential you wear your race chip as instructed. Without a race chip, you will not appear in the results. No chip = No time!

Are there toilets at the venue? Yes the public toilets in the main car park will be open on the evening.

Are there changing facilities? There are no showers or changing rooms, sorry.

Will there be any refreshments? Yes, a trader will be on site selling hot and cold food and drink.

Will there be any Race Photos? Yes! Our official race Photographer is Mick Hall Photos. His snaps will be available for you all to download FREE OF CHARGE from his website after the race.

What do I get for running? All race finishers will receive a free race memento (to be announced); Along with plenty of support and applause from the marshals.

Are there prizes for the winners? Yes! Prizes will be given to the first three men and women overall, plus to winners of the individual age groups: Under 20; MV40, MV50, MV60, MV70, FV40, FV50, FV60, FV70. The presentation will take place approximately 30 minutes after the first runner has crossed the line.

I can no longer run; Can I transfer my entry to someone else? Yes, all transfers can be done via the Evententry page here. cut off for transfers is midnight on Wednesday 12th July.

Will there be a Derby Runner Stall on the night? Due to the shop team being so heavily invovled with the event; there will be no Derby Runner stall at this year’s event. However, please feel free to contact us in the lead-up to the race day if you would like us to bring a specific item(s) along for you to purchase.

Do I need to know anything else? No headphones please. No Dogs. No Buggies/Pushchairs.
